XIII begins with the very Death renouncing, after having to, once again, destroy a human’s life by orders of destiny, by the designs of cruel Life. In his resignation, a new Death must take its place, and then enters the scene The Storyteller, the eternal figure who, from the beginning of time, has documented the whole history of humanity. The player, along with the Storyteller, will have to discover the new powers that have been granted to them at the same time that they finish with the objectives and are sinking more and more into the same darkness that ended the Old Death.
